Proofreading
A lighter edit, usually on completed and formatted documents, looking for final spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors. I ignore minor issues and style questions, focusing on making your document look polished and accurate.
Prices are negotiable based on the scope of your project and your budget, but my starting rate is $10 per 1000 words.
Copyediting
I copyedit complete drafts, looking for consistency in language and style, as well as readability and clarity. One pass will include track changes and notes for the author; a second pass will review those changes and look for additional problems created.
Prices are negotiable based on the scope of your project and your budget, but my starting rate is $20 per 1000 words for one pass, or $30 per 1000 words for two passes.
Playtesting
For game designers, I offer playtesting services with a focus on editing for clarity. I’ll play through your game multiple times and offer feedback, as well as some light copyediting on your design document for player clarity. This includes analog games such as tabletop RPGs and board games, or digital games such as text-based computer games and video games.
Prices are negotiable based on the scope of your project and your budget, but my starting rate is $15 per hour.
Page Design
For writers who need help formatting a PDF for publishing or printing. I work with Affinity Publisher to take raw manuscripts and format them into finalized documents. This includes placing text, headers, footers, and illustrations, but I do not provide any of those elements of my own.
Prices are negotiable based on the scope of your project and your budget, but my starting rate is $3 per page.
